OK, so give us the important information. How much does it cost to fix a cracked sync board?

Ok guys...

I went back and forth on posting actual costs because, your milage may vary. Not every repair will cost the same amount, even if you drop more than 1 iPAQ down the same flight of stairs.

In order to get my 3765 repaired, I had to send it to PPC Techs under their $45 Diagnosis Product. You get charged the diagnostic fee no matter what; but if they fix it, its credited to the final cost of the repair. Other wise, they charge you $45 for their time, which is pretty much standard practice.

The sync board that I mentioned was $49 bucks, so for an extra $4 bucks, plus shipping both ways, I got my iPAQ back, working, like I said, better than new. Total cost (including shipping) was less than $80.

Leonard is a genious. He was able to get this unit back among the land of the living without really breaking a sweat.

He is like, so kewl.

I understand that, but a ball park estimate is still nice to have.

That does seem quite reasonable. Thanks for the info.

I kind of wish you cracked your screen, though, because I'm curious how much that would have cost. :D

Shut your mouth!! My goodness!!

I wish that NONE of it had happened!! But I am glad that Leonard and PPC Techs were there with the crash cart when my baby arrived.

Thanks for your comments.

Kind Regards,

Let's be honest. Your iPaq didn't so commit suicide. It was comprehensibly assassinated!

I got lucky with the results; and I got the right guy to fix my iPAQ. Period.

I know the feeling, Chris. I cracked my iPAQ screen once. It's going to cost about 90 smackeroos to get the unit fixed... When I broke it, the song "911" by Wycleff Jean came to mind...("Everytime I look into your eyes, man it's worth the sacrifice... Someone please call 911, tell them I just got shot down!")
