View Full Version : Infuriated by PocketNow-Microsoft Spam

Several months ago I registered on the PocketNow forums so that I could post a message asking for help on the Whittaker Moore Associates support forum regarding SuperAlert.

When I registered I was required to give an e-mail address, which is not uncommon in forum registrations.

However, the agreement displayed before signing up said nothing about PocketNow using my e-mail address to send me Microsoft promotional spam, which is exactly what PocketNow has done, twice!

I have now sent an e-mail to "unsubscribe" from the "list" to which I was/am "on." However, the question remains: How does one unsubscribe from something that one never subscribed to?

I am disappointed in PocketNow, angered at PocketNow, and as usual, annoyed at Microsoft for wasting my time, space, and bandwidth with something that I don't care about and am actively disinterested in.

I am attaching a zip file containing the two e-mails I received so you can see exactly what I received.

I want to reiterate that I never asked to be put on any promotional/marketing/Microsoft/spam list. All I did was put in the e-mail address to register with this forum to use it one time to get support for a product on one of your "authorized support forums," and what do I get a few months later? Spam!

I would like an explanation and an apology from PocketNow. I also would like this practice to cease, and for PocketNow's partners, such as Whittaker Moore Associates, to be notified of these practices. I doubt that they would be happy to learn that their partner and forum provider is spamming those who sign up to use their forums.
