View Full Version : Wisbar won't autostart and what about Icbar?

Whenever I do a reset, wisbar won't start back up by itself. In the settings I have it checked to fire up at startup too.

I was reading an earlier post by Citats that the developers of the skins code in certain settings to tell what wisbar is supposed to do. Could this be the reason it's not autostarting? I've changed skins but they don't seem to work as well.

Also, I really like the functionality of Icbar over wisbar. Can I just use Icbar? I'll assume I'll have to manually put in all of the button images since the coding won't be in the skin for Dashboard.

Just a note, I've really appreciated the help here in this forum.

No a skin designer can not code in for wisbar to not start.

a couple of things to keep in mind and look over.

Make sure on the General tab of Dashboard setting that you have checked off "allow skin to alter bar apps" even if you have checked it off before look again make sure its still checked.

have a look in \windows\startup and make sure you see the Wisbar.lnk there.

have you installed wisbar to a storage card? if so reinstall it to main memory. As previously noted in another thread. If you want a program to start automatically on soft reset it needs to be in main memory.

I actually found what was wrong.

When you mentioned to look in the startup folder, I knew I've already looked there before but thought I'd check it out one more time. I clicked on the wisbar link and it came up saying it didn't know what it was linking to. I then deleted that shortcut and put in a new one and things are working slick.

I like it when things work. Thanks again!
