Hi-
Whenever I go to click a button like the mail like or tasks like the red dots rotate around my stylus like it does for selected text and stuff. This is really annoying and seems to serve no purpose. Is there a way to stop this from happening? It doesn't do it when I click start for example. Thanks!

I could find any application doing what you are describing.

It happens when I click on either one of Agenda, Inbox, Tasks, Explorer, or My Dash in the toolbar. The dots are the ones that normally come up when you click and press down in word to bring up options to select all text and similiar commands. Thanks!

First of all, what this has to do with SnoopSoft LLC?
What Pocket PC you are using?
I'm not getting those red dots in any of those applications.

It happens when I click those icons in the toolbars. I am using Dashboard 1.5a and this is a problem with the Toolbar1. I go to "click" on lets say the Tasks icon and it works fine, but in the process I get the red dots rotatating around as well. Thanks for all your help, sorry I am not explaining this as well as I should be.

Well, now I got (and I guess anyone) a clear picture of your problem. Unfortunately I don't have any solution for that. I guess somebody from Dashboard team will help you.

Thanks for your help. This doesn't happen for you then? Odd.
Well, I hope then that someone from the dashboard team can help.

Well, I don't use dashboard, that was the main reason why I could not find what was the problem. Sorry :(

The red dots you describe are a basic function of Pocket PC 2002 or 2003. If you tap and hold, the red dots will make a full circle, and then, if such a menu is available, a drop-down menu occurs with various options. The dots are not a bug; they are supposed to happen. Don't worry about it.

I realize they are a feature normally, but they seem unneccessary for those icons. Is there a way to turn them off for them? If not, maybe someone could implement that in a new release. Thanks for all your help. It looks like they can't be turned off I would guess.

what device are you using? What speed is the proc? Which OS is it 2002 or 2003?
I think that if your device is low on memory or being pushed too hard (too many processes running) you may get this occuring.

I have a Dell Axim X5 Advanced - 400 - with OS 2003. I have about 58% of my 64mb of memory free. Thanks-

you are using pocket pc 2003 ... although some ppl have reported dashboard to work on this os. Snoopsoft is making a version of dashboard specific to 2003. I am reasonably certain that if you get this only using dashboard, it is mainly because it was not optimized for ppc 2003. Chris has stated he will soon have out a beta for this OS

Thanks! I'll just wait until the beta comes out!
Hopefully soon! ;) :p

Hi,
The red dots are the normal tap and hold action for the device. I do not see them if I tap quickly on the main toolbar but if I tap and hold briefly they begin to appear. The reason that they do that is at one time you could tap and hold on the toolbar icons to bring up a menu. v2 doesn't do that anymore but the tap and hold dots still appear.
I can look into removing them if it's that much of an issue for you.

thanks for your reply. it isn't that much of a pain but if it doesn't really have any value or purpuse i don't see why to keep them. it does bug me, but then again i don't write the code so i have no idea how hard it is to remove them.
thanks though!

Hi,
Annoyance noted and fixed - it was an easy fix so I stuck it in real quick as I worked through another issue in that area.
Thanks!
