Displaying Wallpapers in dashboard?

The new beta of dashboard...how can I have a wallpaper/theme displayed on the background? I point it to my directory in My Documents that has a wallpaper image I want, but it doesnt load/show it

Dashboard can display the image from the today theme only not a wallpaper image from a file.

to enable in the dashboard settings chose the "skins" tab
on the first drop down menu select "today theme" Which ever today theme is currently loaded will become the background
on the second drop down menu select the dashboard theme you wish to use as a template for the button layout. Keep in mind that if you chose a dash skin that does not use an image for the settings module you will have to guess where to tap to get back into the settings.

Can i change the text color at all?
I got the background, but the default black text doesnt look good with the theme.

You'll need a Today Page editor like Theme Generator, which is available somewhere on Microsoft's website.
