Is it possible to sort Tasks by subject. I use PI, which puts the A1 style priority code in the subject line. I want to sort against that in dashboard. Possible?

Thanks!

Hey Chris;

I looked at this more, and I think what is needed is the ability to "Group Tasks by Nothing." The current behavior allows grouping by category and date. When tasks are grouped by date, items with the same date are sorted by subject.

So, what I am asking for is a subset of the group by date functionallity -- just ignoring the date.

Any chance you could sneak this in?

Again, this allows sorting by the PocketInformant priority order (encoded in the subject line), which is consistient with your efforts to play with PI.

Thanks!

I like this idea alot. I too use PI to sort tasks, and this ability would be helpful in the Dash options.

ALSO... on the topic of tasks, I noticed that Dashboard agenda does not allow for a task to turn the color red if overdue. This would be a VERY helpful feature as one glances over the today screen. Just my 2 cents. I'm lovin the beta eitherway.

One more thought on this --

At the moment, I have set my agenda tasks to "Group By Date" and I have set the due date to "none" for all tasks. This makes dashboard sort by subject -- which gets me the view that I want.

But -- this means that my tasks have no due dates. I have taken to noting the the due date in the taks notes.

This is not great, as I miss the due date -- but right now the priority view is more important to me than tracking the due date.

Anyway, sorting by subject without regard to due date would be great.
