The Beta 34 keeps on soft-resetting my IPAQ5455 with PPC20003 when OMEGAONE Journal Bar is installed and running. After uninstalling it the problem disappeared. I would be happy if you would address this issue.

I am looking forward to beta 35 to solve the duplicate plugins issue.

Can you have an option to sort the contacts by their first name instead of the last name. That would make the Dashboard even greater.

Thanks

Where did you get WM2003 for your 5400? If it's a beta I'd blame it on the bootleg. If it's from HP that's a different story.

My PPC 2003 is from HP. So I wouldn't blame it onto the new OS. After uninstalling Journal Bar the soft resets stopped. So it is probably a problem between Journal Bar and Dashboard.

Cool. I didn't think anyone received the upgrades from HP yet. Mine should be here soon then for my 3975.

Hi,

After further testing I am fairly certain that the soft-resets are a result of the JournalBar plugin on 2003 and not Dashboard. I tested this by removing Dashboard from the system and leaving JournalBar. I then went into the Today settings and changed the Theme - that worked fine. So I went back into the Today settings and disabled JournalBar. In one instance I got a soft-reset doing this and another try locked up my device. Dashboard is doing the same thing with JournalBar that the Today Settings applet is doing so that explains why there are soft resets when this module is active and you change Themes (via a skin change) or perform some other action that causes JournalBar to be disabled and re-enabled within Dashboard. I love JournalBar and keep it on my device despite the soft-resets. I know they released one fix for it already for 2003 that addressed some serious soft-resets so I am guessing they are still working at the stability.

As you already saw - Beta .035 will address the duplicates issue that you have seen.

Finally, you can sort your Contacts by Firstname/Fullname (Last, first) or Company by tap and holding on the alphabet tab bar along the top of the Contacts module.

Thanks for helping to test out the beta!

I hope you will get in touch with Journal Bar's makers and they will try to solve this issue. I had to uninstall it although I loved the program.

regarding to sorting the contacts by first name: It works as you said but the names are still displayed as Last/First Name though sorted by first name. Can you also add an option of displaying them as First/Last Name?

drmed-You can do that with Outlook on your PC when you sync.

Well, you can user your Outlook on the desktop computer to sort it the way you want but it want look like it on your Pocket PC. And I don't think you can use Pocket Outlook to sort them that way. I was just hoping that the Contacts plugin of dashboard would let you sort the contact by first name and show them also that way, first name first last name after that.

Thought I'd chime in and give some extra info. I am currently running WM2003 (from HP) on a 5450 with Dashboard 2.34 beta and JB 1.3.1-9 installed. I am not experiencing any problems similar to those described above. While I am having complications with JB and its ability, or rather inability, to update via wi-fi, the program is not causing soft-resets on my handheld.
