I installed iPaq panel and it was there in Dashboard plug in. After I unchecked and checked in other place does not work anymore.
Still there but is not showing the ipaq program anymore.

I had problems with pocket backup too. Does not work with this one. If I check this one in plug-in it soft resets and soft resets so on. I unchecked this one and using in background.

I got Journal Bar won't work. Is that right?

What i got is Dashboard has problem in handle the plug ins.

I had three programs working very fine before:

ipaq panel
pocket backup
journal bar

But not working with Dashboard.

Thanks.

make certain that you do not have the plug ins loaded in the today module settings. If you do they tend to not run in dashboard. 1 or the other, not both.

This problems was after I realized this and fix it.
I had to notice this very quickly since the dashboard became like a monster. It looked like the screen was broke.
Since I did this the problem was the above.
thanks.

Hi,

Just change your Today Theme to something else and your display will come back fine.

I did and keeps the same way.
I uninstall many things, soft reset many times nothing.
After hours trying to solve and any answers
I had to hard reset my device.

I want to install again but I am afraid to have to hard reset again.
What is better install dashboard after all app or before.
Did you test many combinations?
Because everybody is using like a stable program and mine was completely crazy all the time.
I must be doing every thing wrong.
Please, the program is really gorgeous, and I really want to use.
Can you give me the right steps here.

Which programs is better not to use for now?
I have iPaq panel, pocket backup, journal bar and pocket plus that goes like plug-ins.

Do I need to install these on separate, like white page (I read this here)?
I read the manual and did not find this details.

Not sure what the problem is, but thought I should mention that I am running iPAQ Panel on an iPAQ 5550 with the latest beta with no problems. Therfore it would appear that neither iPAq Panel nor Dashboard have a problem, perhaps some other application is the problem or if a hard reset will not fix it, then it could be a co-incidental hardware problem?

Hi,

I'm not sure - a hard reset will restore the device to your factory defaults which means that no programs should be loaded anymore. I can't see why you'd get any odd behavior after a hard reset. Now if you did a soft-reset, I can see how something might get out of order a bit.

I think if you install all of your Today plugins then go and disable them then install Dashboard you will be OK. I know sometimes when you install a Today module it activates itself on the Today settings and resets your device. This isn't the best behavior since Dashboard needs to be the only Today plugin active in the Today settings. By installing your Today plugins first that should solve this type of behavior from interacting with Dashboard in any way.

I agree with Chris as that is the way I've always installed Dashboard updates - I disable all plugins via Dashboard and then disable Dashboard via the Today settings, then install a Dashboard update and re-enable plugins via Dashboard, I have not had any problems that way.

The hard reset solved, but I installed everything again and had this problem.
The problem is I am doing everything wrong :-)
I am sorry. As I can see is not a bug of the program is a bug of the user. I am sorry about the title. I thought I did not have to worry about anything only keep installing.
Ok. Lets see if I learn how to do this things now.

Lets forget about what happened. My device is ready to go, empty. I did a forth hard reset and I am going to wait for your instructions for what I should do.

I have this apps:

Dashboard
PI
iPaq panel
pocket plus
pocket backup
VOshoping list
Journal Bar - do I try this one?
lextionary
gprs_monitor
codewalletpro
resco utility
handy_menu
hp printer
vnc
uBook
microsoft reader
acrobat reader
and some smalls one

I am desperate, I am sorry I need to be sure that this time I got this right.
I don't have backup because I just bought the program and did not have the habit ;-)
This way will be a lot of work again.

1) question:

What is more stable to use with Dashboard Icbar or wishbar?
For me does not matter as long as is better for the device ;-)

2) question:

I can install everything but I always have to disable the Dashboard in Today setting (or only for the plug ins)
Is that right? If so how I am going to know which program is a plug in which is not?
And I have to disable the plug ins when I will do any upgrade for Dashboard.

3) question:

Now guys what should I do? If it is possible step by step will be better.
Forget about the mess I did before, lol.

Thanks for all your help.

update: I think now I did everything in the right way.
Dont bother to answer.
Thanks.
