This is my first skin...What do you think?
I like things to be pretty clean and organized. I call it Xfusion.
Everything is custom made from scratch down to the paper clip on the email attachment :D

Here's the start menu...
I noticed on other peoples skins (Static's I believe) that people have changed the color on the New menu...How is that done?

This is a very nice looking skin. I only have two peeves to mention. The module selection of the unselected pages is a bit too dark. (could just be the screen shot) second is the windows flag on the start button has to go. create something of your own, to skin pocket pc is to be different and original.
Your quite talented, especially if this is your first. The quality of this skin is right up there with a juni skin! I can't wait to see your tenth skin.
so where can I DL this one, I have not seen it over at Wincustomize.
Also are you using ICbar or wisbar advance?

It took me a few reads to understand what you were refering to.
I use ColorMe by snoopsoft. The changes take effect system wide, not just on the new menu. You can then include an exported file with your theme that others can use with your color scheme.

Thanks for the replys.
It's not on WinCustomize yet, but I will put it up there probably either tonight or tomorrow. Depending on when I finish a couple of the details I'm still working on.
I'll let you know when it's there.
Static- Thanks for the info on ColourMe. I didn't notice that was available before. I'll have to play with that tonight. I agree with what you're saying about the start button...that's one of the things I'm still working on. I keep going back and forth between a few things and haven't been able to make up my mind yet, so I've just kept that there as a place holder.
The other thing I forgot to mention is that in the screen shots I'm using a condensed fonts (UniversCondensed). So that keeps the screen a little cleaner.
I'm using WisBar Advance. I've only developed the pieces for the menu that I actually use, and I don't know that I will do all of the pieces before posting it on WinCustomize. I will probably post it pretty much as is, and if people like it and the demand is there, I can flush out the rest.

Just wanted to let you guys know I finally finished nit picking at my theme and uploaded it to WinCustomize (http://www.wincustomize.com) . They say it may take up to 5 days for the theme to show up though. This is the first one I've uploade there, so I don't know how quick they are...
It took me awhile longer because I ended up flushing out all of the icons for Wisbar Advance so that it has a complete set.
Here's what it ended up looking like:

Hi... I couldn't find the skin in WinCustomize? Is it been deleted?
Malial

No it hasn't been deleted.
I submitted an update to fix how the Wisbar Advance theme was loading. Apparently when you submit an update, they take the whole theme offline to re-approve.
I wish they would keep the already approved theme online and then just replace it with the new one once they approve it.
I wasn't aware this is how they did it.
Anyway...It should be back up soon.

Hey, Malial, I love your skin...the one for Dashboard, that is...
But, anyway, is the date that shows up on the agenda page a creator feature? I mean, did you choose the font, etc. for that? I like everything about the skin, but the date is pretty huge and it makes all my agenda stuff disappear off the bottom...
I'll try to get a screen up to show you...

Here's what I mean...
I can usually see several more tasks on the screen...
Malial

The date is part of the .skin file. The font for the date will actually change to whatever font you have chosen for Dashboard. The size of the font, however, is specified in the .skin file.
Either way...I do agree that the date takes up too much room after using it awhile myself. I've also had several other requests to remove the date.
I will be doing an update to this skin and the update will not have the date in it.
Thanks for the feedback!

Malial, you rock. I really appreciate a receptive artiste'!
Keep up the good work!

Is that possible if you make a tsk file for only wishbar advance?
You did all but if I use the tsk I got the buttons and really loved your skin. I am not using Dashboard for a while. I am having to much problem with this one and my plug ins but until I can get back for Dashboard I would like to be using your fantastic skin.

voyagerx-
I have had a few other requests from people who would like to have just a .tsk file (i.e, one without the dates and buttons for Dashboard). I have plans to make this into a more standard theme as well as update the Dashboard theme.
Look for these to come soon...I've been very busy getting a few things under way, but I am working on these as well as some new ideas!

It's fairly easy to get rid of the date if you're so inclined. I opened each jpg in MS Photo Editor, copied a small section of stripes over the brackets and saved.
Open the dsh file with a text editor like Pocket Word.
Scroll down to the 'Text' section and delete the 'Date' string.
Go back up to the string 'Main' and change it to 2,14,238,239
Save. Done.
Load another skin in Dash then load Xfusion again.
This is a GREAT looking skin,
Thanks Malial!:D

Yup I did the same exact thing, except I used the skinning program on Snoopsoft's page, skinme. Try it out, it looks real easy to make a theme. If I could only draw ;(

Thanks again for all the great comments and suggestions.
I finally got the skin updated and re-uploaded at WinCustomize. You can download it here (http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=14&SkinID=506).
Sorry it's taken so long, but I've been working on a lot of things at once (as you can see with the new name).
The update removes the date (from many requests). I also decreased the background image file sizes to make loading quicker.
Enjoy!

 What plugin or setting are you using to get the icons on the bottom right corner of your skin?
Thanks,

It isn't a plugin that provides that function, rather a feature of the individual programs themselves.
The ones that you see in the screen shot are (from left to right) are Remote Display Control Host, Connection Status, Pocket Informant, PHM Task Manager and HandyMenu (with custom icon).

Any chance of icbar support? 1.5 is now my fulltime skin and I'd like to complete the look!
Also, I'd like to second the comment made here early on (I think by Static) that the "tabs" for inactive modules at the top are tough to read because they're so dark.
Thanks again for a great skin!

What type of PPC are you using?
The problem with the tabs being too dark is actually a hard one to address because of the varying display quality and brightness settings on all of the PPCs. Unfortunately I only have one (Dell Axim X5 Advance) to test on right now, so it's hard for me to know how something like that would work across the board.
If I continue to get requests to lighten the tabs, then I certainly will.
You should be able to use the pieces from the Wisbar Advance theme with Icbar - you just have to manually configure it. I've had this on my "to do" list for awhile now to setup more formal Icbar support. I will bump this up on my priority list...
Thanks for your input and I'm glad you like the skin. I've got another one in the works...Should have it done this week!
