New Beta 2.0.035 questions

Hi,

I just downloaded this newest version and have a couple of questions.

Is there any way to make the agenda icons large or are they supposed to be that teeny tiny?;

What is the "Module" that is listed in the Agenda view list? Is there supposed to be something there - what does it do?;

Where are the old font, execute, refresh, clock and back and forward icons?

First, we'll probably need to know your system info...you know, which Pocket PC, which OS, etc. Then, which version did you download and install (the 2.0.035 beta for PPC 2002 or WM2003)?

Hi Nipaq,

I have a Cmopaq ipaq 3835 which the operating system is 2002 (I think - I know for sure it's not 2003). I downloaded the Dashboard for 2002 but noted there is download for "Pocket PC" also in addition to the 2002 one.

I can't get the good-looking icons that were in all my old themes to come up in my views - I just get the plain old calendar, notes, task, etc icons.

The module thing I figured out - it turned into an agenda or other plug-in. I guess that's right??

Any further help you can give is appreciated.

I may have confused the issue with using "WM2003 and PPC2002". They're both Pocket PC Operating Systems, but now Microsoft is calling the newest version "Windows Mobile 2003".
So, if any version of Dashboard is for 2002, then it's for Pocket PC 2002...on the order lookup page, the version of Dashboard for "Windows Mobile 2003" is listed as Pocket PC 2003.
Anyhoo (;)), As long as you're using the 2.0.035 version for Pocket PC 2002, then you should be alright (your 3835 should indeed have PPC 2002).

Next, your icons. Do you mean all of the "buttons" within the skin (i.e., the agenda, mail, tasks, launcher and my dash)? Or, do you mean the smaller icons that stand out to the right side of each day of agenda entries? As far as I know neither can be changed unless you change the entire skin. For example, tap the Dashboard settings icon, tap the skin tab, then choose a different skin...that should change basically everything about the skin.
NOTE: older skins may not support all the features of the new build of Dashboard. I'd stick with the default skin for now, or go to Wincustomize/Dashboard Skins (http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=14) and look for updated skins.

Another thing that is confusing at first is that you can't have any other plugins/Today Screen items checked. Go to Start-->Settings-->Today and tap the "Items" tab...then, make sure that only the Dashboard item is checked...you should probably soft reset at this point to make sure all changes take place. After that, tap on the Dashboard settings "button" and check the today plugins you want shown within Dashboard. I've found that as long as you leave the Dashboard-included plugins at the top of the heap, then everything works fine.

Hi,

I'm a little confused also... The default skin has changed to a new one by Juni but if you are having trouble identifying things in it you can always use any Dashboard skin off of the Internet.

All of the icons are there and where they should be. If you do not have a Dashboard module selected in a view (i.e. it just says Dashboard Module in the list) use the drop-list box at the top of the Options dialog to select a Dashboard module. The font/run icons only appear when a module is selected.

Hey Chris,

If you see a post from me before this please ignore it - it went into waaaay too much detail and I'm pretty sure I deleted it but it may show up.

Basically, what has happened since installing this .35 is about 3/4 of the skins in my "Skins" folder on my storage card have disappeared from the Theme Dream drop down box although they are definitely on the storage card, AND if I choose to exit out of Theme Dream altogether and just use the Agenda Skin I can get the skins and the fancy icons.

However, I used to be able to use my Themes and/or Skins file with both Agenda Dashboard and Theme Dream so that the Today Screen would blend, and almost all of the skins and themes had fancy icons worked into them.

This is the weirdest thing and believe it or not I'm so obsessed/possessed I've got about 10 hours into this just today!!!!

Needless to say, any help to clear up this dilemma is greatly appreciated.
