I noticed that transparency is lost when adding Today plugins to dashboard.

EX: I use SPB Pocket Plus for the battery and memory status and normally, the background is transparent. When displayed through Dashboard the background is white.

Its not just SPB either. All the plugins I have tried have had that issue. Its more of a consistency thing, but it would be nice if the transparency was preserved.

this issue has come up in the past, and Chris worked through it I do not have this issue with the most recent public beta... however I do not use the plug in you speak of. Are you using the most recent beta? If not try upgrading. Good luck

I have the same problem but only with SPB pocket plus, the background is white.
All others I don't have. Very weird.
I am using the new beta.

I've had some show up white, and some show up transparent.
When I used Pocket Plus, it was white...but, when I used Scarybear's Powerlevel III, it's transparent.

Hi,

If it is doing that then they are probably doing something non-standard in their implementation of the transparency. For instance, Journal Bar is transparent and many, many others show up transparent also. Even the new TodayPlus weather plugin is transparent inside Dashboard.

Dashboard mimics the Today page, but it is not the Today page so if they are doing something like checking the window that owns their module and executing different code then there's not much I can do to fix something like that. I have no idea what they are doing really, I'm just throwing that out as an example of how clever us developers can sometimes be... :)

Thanks!
