Pocket PCs sales have already eclipsed Palm sales in some markets when you figure dollar-to-dollar but, now Pocket PC has surpassed Palm unit-to-unit in Australia. Pocket PC OS held 52.1% of all pen-based shipments in Australia while Palm came in at 46.6%. The remaining 1.3% was a combination of Windows CE-only and Linux handhelds.)
The figures don't completely represent demand, however. Apparently demand was quite high for Palms Zire 71 units, but Palm could not ship enough units into Australia to meet the demand.
