See the FCC website (https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/cf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits&calledFromFrame=N&application_id=574095&fcc_id=\'NM8HIMALAYAS\') for pictures and manuals for the HTC Himalaya Pocket PC Phone edition. Does this mean it will be coming to the US soon? My credit card is ready!
It looks like whoever takes those pictures isn't very good at focusing though.

A couple of interesting things from the pictures and reading the manuals:
1) The "backpack" is a Compact Flash, VGA-out add-on (!) Apparently, hidden under the battery cover, is something like the iPAQ expansion sleeve connector (!!)
2) The cradles come in serial and usb versions. Each one has an extra battery charging slot. The edge connector looks very much like the current iPAQ connector (Since HTC built the iPAQs, go figure.) but I can't tell for sure if it's identical. That would be a real plus.
