The last time I spoke to HP, their representative said that HP would soon have a replacement part number assigned to the rubber grips for the sides of the 221x iPAQ, allowing customers to order the grips directly, rather than sending their iPAQ in to have them replaced. A number of users have complained about the grips coming off or the rubber delaminating from the grips.
It appears that the part number has been assigned, but the product information has not gotten quite through the pipeline yet. To explain, if you call HP and request part #349036-001, the customer service rep will probably have to verify the number, but you'll be able to order it without any further problem. However, the part is not available through HPShopping.com yet.
