NetFront Version 3.1 supports VGA 480x640 browsing on the Toshiba e800, a first for the Pocket PC. It will also offer additional features, including:
* Tabbed browsing (up to five tabs)
* Smart-Fit technology that intelligently fits Web pages on a smaller screen
* Stylus scrolling to drag a Web page.
NetFront will cost $34.80. That's more than MultiIE, but NetFront is a full browser, and supposedly includes support for more standards than Pocket Internet Explorer (although I'm not sure if their comparison takes the newer Pocket IE in Windows Mobile 2003 into account).
With MultiIE 3.0 and NetFront 3.1, it looks like the Pocket PC browser wars are heating up. What do you think of the alternatives? Give us your thoughts in the forum.
