As posted last week, Microsoft Voice Command is available today. If you want to see how it works, they have a Flash demo. To view the demo, click the Source link, then click the high-res or low-res demo link on the right side of the page.
It appears this software has its own media player, which seems silly to me. I'd think a separate Windows Media Player skin and some hooks into the Media Player in ROM would make more sense.
The reason I mention this is because Microsoft says Voice Command will require 7 MB "device memory" for 500 contacts and 100 songs. That makes it sound like Voice Command can't be installed in Flash memory.
It also requires Windows Mobile 2003, so you're out of luck if you're running Pocket PC 2002 or earlier.
However, the demo does look very cool. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the discussion, especially if you have actually used Voice Command.
