I think the single most important thing to include would be better PIM functions.
To really make the PPC useful, you have to buy 3rd party apps (i.e. Pocket Informant or Agenda Fustion)...Since this is the core of a PDA, I think this should be a a more robust standard feature in the OS.

More functional note taking and document creating processes - as it is, you can't really leave your laptop at home if you need to create anything more complex than simple notes.

Definitely need to fix the alarm issue in the next version of Windows Mobile so that it is reliable again like back in the PPC2000 days.

Single most important function: Landscape Mode.
This needs to be something built-in to the next version of Pocket PC.

Late Again. ;( Landscape mode would be killer but how about having a one button bluetooth PIE connection manager?

1. Native Landscape mode, with switching, without soft resets
2. Better Connection Manager. PPC2002 W-Fi connections were easier to monitor, but not as easy to set up. A built in meter/configuration function that is easy/easier to get to is a must.
3. An optimized Kernel. Faster is better. Hardware specs are good, but if there's hang-ups in the OS, I don't care how fast the processor is... Memory Management should also be much better.
4. Better Office integration. Pocket Word and Pocket Excel suck. Both of these apps strip out extended formatting when copying to the device. Its impossible to edit heavily formatted documents in either of these apps without killing all of the formatting on the desktop side. At the very least, Pocket Word needs to support tables and other lists (like ToC...)
5. Pocket Inbox - Native HTML Mail support
6. Pocket Contacts - Native Picture Caller ID in PPC-PE
7. Better Font Support. With the advances in graphic controllers and LCD's, I should be able to use smaller or bigger fonts without the display being harder to read (small fonts below 8pt) or really fuzzy. PPC should display fonts bigger than 12pt in all Native apps without any 3rd Party add-ons. If I have vision problems, I will never be able to use a PPC unless the current font support is improved.
8. MORE RAM. 64MB is nice. 128MB is better. 256MB is ideal...And knock it off with the funky memory types. If you don't want to make PPC's with more than 64MB of RAM, fine; but don't make it impossible for 3rd parties to offer this kind of upgrade. Yes, I know having a 3rd Party upgrade my RAM will void my MFG Warranty; but PPC Techs has been doing this for years, and does it veRY, VERY well.
Off the top of my head, this is all that I can think of... If this info is going to be passed to MS, please include my comments...
Thanks!
Kind Regards,
Christopher Spera
