HP iPAQ 6300 Release Date -- 4/1/04?

Adam Lein sent me an email with reference to this BargainPDA listing (http://www.bargainpda.com/price/default.asp?productID=1139&brandName=HP&productName=iPAQ+h6300&display=priceDetail). It shows the HP iPAQ 6300 with a release date of 4/1/2004.

Could it be? Perhaps with all the Motorola MPx buzz they are stepping up their campaign. Thoughts?

good observation on the 1 Apr, didn't notice... I hate April Fools, I usually don't visit websites on that day.

Anyway the 6300 looks very nice... I wonder what the price tag will be? If HP stays consistant with their pricing it'll probably easily top $700...

According to the story Adam posted on January 21 (http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=news&id=2059), the price should be around $600.

Of course, who knows whether that's accurate or not, or whether that price will require a contract. :)

Haha! Yeah, April Fools day. :)

I'm thinking the $600 potential pricetag would be with contract. And given HP's track record, I doubt it'll be available before June, but who knows.
