Handango InHand (http://www.handango.com/client/Home.jsp?siteId=1&jid=XDDX57C1FCF72D9AE9D6BB437133X2DB&tab=2&devId=0) provides a software catalog on your Smartphone that allows you to purchase and download software without needing a PC.
InHand provides several details about each application, including the name, a short description, the price and a screenshot. You can try or buy the applicaton. Product delivery and purchasing are completed directly via the phone so access to a desktop computer is not necessary.
It doesn't say whether you can actually install the programs directly, but not being able to would seem very silly. Who wants to download a PC installer on their Smartphone, only to have to copy it to your PC and install it later?
If this actually does install the software directly on the Smartphone, I think this is an excellent step forward. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the discussion.
