Toshiba was first out the door with a VGA-capable Pocket PC. Asus is now the second company on record with a full VGA screen. This was reported in the Brighthand forums (http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=101369) and PocketPCTools Forums (http://www.pocketpctools.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid2=747) as well.
The Asus 730, according to further sources, will have Secure Digital and Compact Flash slots, built-in WiFi and BlueTooth, and a built-in graphics accellerator chip. No information on size or price is available yet.
Some time ago, Microsoft announced that the next release of Windows Mobile for Pocket PC (WM2004), would support full VGA (480x640) screens and on-the-fly orientation changes. (Currently Pocket PC OS supports quarter-VGA (240x320) screens.) The Toshiba e800 anticipated Microsoft's release of WM2004 by over half a year. The Asus 730 will probably be released slightly in advance of WM2004's release.
