So you've got this great new camera phone and you want to send pictures to your friends? Well, in the US at least, most services only allow sending picture messages to others on the same network. Verizon has a web-based MMS client for you to send picture messages from a desktop computer to phones, and T-Mobile can recieve picture messages via the phone's 8005551212@tmomail.net email address. But that doesn't help when sending images from network to network. Well, the only solution is PixtoPix.com (http://www.pixtopix.com). This is a free service where you input your phone number and create a pixtopix email address which will allow you to recieve picture messages from any mobile phone on any network (as long as they send to your pixtopix email address.) What it does is automatically reformat the message sent from one provider into a format that the recipient provider can read. I don't know how they do it, but it just worked beautifully between a friend on Cingular and me on T-Mobile.
