Rasputinj (http://rasputinj.com/article1845.html) has found a good deal on the Socket SDIO WiFi card (http://www.socketcom.com/product/WL6200-480.asp). It's available for under $90 and you can get a $20 rebate, too.

Buy.com (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10352970&dcaid=1688) is selling the card for $88.49 with free shipping. If you're in a location where Buy.com charges sales tax, though, you may get a slightly better price from Neutron Express (http://www.neutronexpress.com/prod.cfm/234780/SOCKET), which sells the card for $93.49 with free shipping and no tax (at least, not in California).

The rebate is available at Socket's Web site in the dreaded PDF format (http://www.socketcom.com/pdf/rebateWLAN030104.pdf).

I have an iPAQ 5550, which includes built-in WiFi, so I don't need this, and it won't work with my iPAQ 3870, which doesn't have SDIO. However, I'm tempted to get one for my daughter's ViewSonic V36. ViewSonic wants $129 for their SDIO WiFi card.

Are you tempted by this price? Have you used the Socket card? Share your thoughts in the discussion.

I bought this card a while ago. (Paid a lot more than $90 for it too!) I tried the SandDisk version prior to buying this card. Had problems with the SandDisk version. Have had no problems with the Socket Version. Would say Socket has better drivers as well. Well worth the money, nothing like being able to surf the web while lying in bed!
