While Club i-mate (http://www.clubimate.com) started offering free Exchange accounts to it's members earlier this week, now the Exchange accounts actually work! Syncing via the mobile server still seems to be a bit unstable. Anyone who owns an i-mate device can sign up as a member for free with their IMEI number.
