I've really been contemplating those grips for awhile now. But gee whiz that price. $40 for side grips is just too harsh for me to justify, especially with new devices on the horizon. I think $25 is a much better price.

I just received some new grips from HP and plan on saving them for when my 2210 eventually makes it's way on eBay. I'm waiting to see if any interesting VGA Pocket PC come out in June, if there's something interesting my 2210 is gone!

Yep - there was one gentleman who made wood grips. Just one set for himself. It just took too long.

The more I look at these, the more I realize that the price really isn't that bad. The quality is great and everyone compliments them. *shrug* But if you are looking to upgrade in the near future, I can certainly understand waiting.

But think of it this way: With these grips on your 22xx series iPAQ, if you were looking to resell (especially on eBay), you would have a leg up on the competition: a Modded iPAQ. That's good for at least $50 more than you probably would have gotten originally.

Tim makes a good point. I haven't seen the grips in person but it looks like their high quality metal and they seem to look really good (especially the blue ones, they match the hp logo! ;) ). I agree that they would up the going price of your 2200 if you auctioned it on eBay.
