Enter: SignWise. It's not a new concept (there is at least one other signature based security system that I know of), but it is cool. SignWise says you can have a safe, reliable, and secure way to lock-down your Pocket PC with a semi-biometric system. Did they deliver?

Due to the fact that you are writing your password, over and over, on the screen -> how long before someone would be able to crib your password from your screen protector?

A bit of a long shot, I agree. And in reality, anyone who stole the PPC would be more interested in resetting it than getting the data.

But I'm still curious if you could get the data...

I must confess: I don't use screen protectors. Dangerous, I know, but I have never had any stylus that remotely made any sort of mark on the screen, with one exception: the Casio M-something from several years back... (I complained and they replaced it, anyway).

So, I'm not sure if you could get that information or not. Are screen protectors that pliable?

You make a good point, Tim. What is your experience with screen protectors?

I always use protection. *chuckle*

But seriously - it's too easy to scratch ones screen, and screen protectors are fairly cheap.

But, as with anything, repeated use will start to wear a mark into the unprotected glass and/or protector. Check out my review on Boxwave's product line for an example.
