With built-in file viewing, ZIP file support, encryption, storage card formatting, FTP capabilities and a Registry editor, Resco's File Explorer is also a lot more than a file browser. In fact, you might even be able to replace several other programs with Resco Explorer.

That was an excellent, comprehensive review of an excellent, comprehensive piece of software. I learned some things about it that I did not know were there. It also clarified some of the settings and functions for me.
Resco Explorer is a must-have program for me. It keeps getting better and better.
One thing, though, I don't ever recall having any hangs. Then again, I've never gone as far into the program either.

That was an excellent review, you've set a new standard!
I already knew Resco was a must have utility, but your review pointed out some things about Resco that I haven't used. Good job.
Very impressive review
I didn't count the screen caps, but there seems to be countless of them!!
I'm quite a power user but from what I can see, it seems an overkill application, with an especialy overkill price :(
I think I'll stick with the virtually free and awesome StarTap Explorer and freeware Total Commander (the latter of which I use both the desktop and PPC versions)
Congrats on your great and complete review (now I wonder when I'll have time to read it all )

I haven't gotten any hangs in a while. I can't say they were actually the fault of Resco Explorer, but I can't say they weren't, either. As I was using the program when they occurred, I felt I had to mention them.

Wow, thanks to all of you for the kind comments. :)
One thing I just found out today is what Passive mode does. It forces the client to open the data connection instead of the server. It can be useful if you're behind a firewall.
Oh, and for the record, there were 146 screen captures. Dial-up users beware. :D

I knew there were so much more than an average article, but the app is quite complete as well.
You should put a preview page with a warning:
"Dial-up users beware: accessing the following page may cause your modem to choke to a pittyful death or fall on its knees to beg for mercy" :D

Steve,
Yes, I know it's hard to tell sometimes what causes hangs, especially if it might be something like a combination of running program A and B while doing C. So I'd say your review was fair: You had some hangs when you were using the software, it should be mentioned. I would add that you were using it pretty comprehensively. If I used it as in-depth as you did for the review, perhaps I would see them too.
It's one of those "Your mileage may vary" sort of things. That's why I pointed out my experience with the software.
Anyway, thanks for the review and I look forward to reading more of them.:D

Resco File Explorer is the number one on my list of programs to be installed after a hard reset .
Wow... I've never come across a review that was soooooo in depth before, excellent work! :D
Ohh, Dialup users... cry me a river ;)
