View Full Version : Dashboard screens not refreshing properly

I bought Dashboard 2 (current version) as it advertised that I could use native Today Plug-ins on each tab.

However, when I enable some plug-ins for one tab, when I switch to another tab, the previous tab's top plug-in remains visible, masking some of the newly selected tabs information.

This does not seem to be a simple redraw effect, as the incorrectly visible plug-in can still be tapped and utilised.

The screens redraw correctly if I go into options, then straight back out again.

Device: XDA II UK ROM 1.6; Plug-ins used- Kitara Genesis, SpB GPRS Monitor, Hudson Phone Dashboard, OmegaOne BP Pro Battery & Program bars.

Any ideas welcomed, as this effect makes the program useless for me.

Can you give a specific example of what plugins you have on a screen and in what order. Then what screen do you move to and what still remains showing?

I hear reports that this happens and I've tried reproducing it but I can't seem to get the right combination to see it. I don't doubt that it can be happening because the way the code works it's definitely a possibility but I just need some way to reproduce it consistently so I can fix it.

Thanks!

Hi Chris

Thanks for the reply.

I have Tab1: MiniLaunch & Kitara Genesis
Tab2: Mini Launch, Hudson Phone Dashboard & SpB GPRS Monitor
Tab3: Mini Launch, Omega1 Program bar & Battery Bar
Tab4: Launcher
Tab5: Mini Launch & default contacts.

Opening is OK- shows correctly, and Tab 2 initially OK; Once Tab2 has been opened, the remnants of Phone Dashboard appear on all subsequent screens, below MiniLaunch, and masking the upper portion of the plug-in which is supposed to be on that tab. Tapping the erroneous item still has an effect on that plug-in, rather than the one which is being masked.

Opening and closing "Help" does not fix, but opening/closing Options fixes the problem till the same sequence of Tabs is opened again (ie the 1st tab page opened always displays correctly, but pages subsequent to viewing Tab2 exhibit the same effect. Changing the order of items, I think just recreate
s the problem with the new top item masking subsequent pages.
