Problem with landscape skins

Hi Chris

I've been having problems with all of the landscape skins that I've tried - and no one else seems to be having problems with those landscape skins! The symbian skin works when I switch to landscape ... but that's about it. When I go to options to change the skin, there are no other options to choose from, despite the fact that I have various landscape skins in my skins folder.

Since I'm of the rare breed that don't use Jimmy's Landscape (I have a Jornada, and I've been using the app "ChangeOrientation"), do you think there's a compatibility issue with the Jornada?

Hi blusparkles,

That is an odd one - the fact that the Symbian skin works indicates that it shouldn't be a compatibility issue. Dashboard doesn't even care what program put you into Landscape mode. Actually, it doesn't even care or know that you're in Landscape mode, all it knows is that the resolution is different.

Can you give me an example, or point me to, a skin that doesn't work? The only landscape skins I'm aware of are the 2 on my site...

Hiya, I get exactly the same thing with Landscape 2, infact I got it with v1, just nothing in the pull down option list box of skins

Also, the program will not rotate skins in Landscape when the "rotate skins automatically" box is checked. It's such an awesome utility though, that I just deal with it. It would be a nice fix for a future release though.

I am using Change Orientation and have had no problems on my Jornada 548 in LS mode. I use SymbianLS, WindowsXPLS, and WinSnoopLS. all are great skins. only problem is on changing LS to normal and back I have to reselect the skin to gett WIS bar to update the WIS bar skin. Using v1.2.00i, DB is great, just turned a new iPAC user on to the best software for the PPC.

Maybe it has something to do with where I put my files. windows XP's re me file says to put it in it's own folder within "skins" so I did the same with the other Landscape enabled skins. Does anyone think that may be the problem? For those who have it working right, how did you arrange your landscape enabled skins inside the skins folder?
