Hi,

Thanks - I'll take a look at it a little later today and try to figure out what the issue might be.

Maybe I can help you.

Send me your skin to check it.

Or tell me your e-mail and I'll send you my own skin (support all JSLandscape modes).

Hi,

I think I've figured it out - sorry it took so long, I was debugging another UT skin for someone else. While the UT skin is really cool looking, you have to realize that this skin pushes the envelope in the way Dashboard utilizes skins and really isn't the easiest one to mimic.

That said, your problem boils down to a couple of things:
First, you don't need to specify the exact location of the files (ie. no path is necessary, just use the file name). I'm guessing that you did this out of frustration since it wasn't working...

Second, you're not specifying a rect for the main toolbar. Where you have:
Tool1_Agenda = 183,18,183,18
this is basically one pixel on the screen - you need the last two numbers to specify the lower right corner (x,y) position - which would be roughly 240,75 on the background image supplied. So your individual toolbar parameters should all say 183,18,240,75.

Once that is done if you want the toolbar to work you will need to provide the tap rectangle for each toolbar (just like the Unreal Landscape skin does). If you don't do this last step you won't be able to properly change views.

Does that help out some?

A new version of SkinMe will be out soon. Hopefully only another week. This new version will support all of the new changes to Dashboard.

Hi Larry!

I was wondering what happened to you... Guess you've been really busy adding in all the new tag stuff. I've got 3 new WIS tags for the i release. Are you adding in WIS tag support or leaving that up to the hardcore bunch? http://www.pocketnow.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yes, I have been pretty busy lately. My inlaws have been in town the last two weeks but luckily they are leaving tommorow!

I plan to add Wisbar support in this next release. It would be cool to see the Wisbar skin in the preview window.

I will be adding a SkinMe project file which will be used on the desktop to keep track of all of the .dsh files and their different resolutions. For example when you create a new SkinMe project you will start with the standard 240x320 skin. You can then add additional skins for the different resolutions that you want to support. When the project is saved it will generate the proper SkinFamily tags in each of the skins for you.
