dashboard date display?

how/can you get the date to appear in dashboard?

there are 2 skins at www.somara.com (http://www.somara.com) that appear to display the date within dashboard. the first looks like it is either using the Today's the Day plug-in, or perhaps left the 'date' option checked in today settings. the second (techlight) looks like it has the date display intergrated w/ dashboard...can this be done?

Hi,

Dashboard supports the display of the Date text and/or the name of the view (i.e. 'Launcher' displayed in Somara's first skin) and these elements can be placed anywhere on the skin. So in the first Somara shot it appears that the date is placed at the top and a wide margin has been left up there as a part of the skin design.

thanks...now that you've mention it i noticed quite a few other skins include the date as well...i just never noticed.
