Dashboard not working

Just bought Dashboard.

Using an HP Jornada 420
WinCE 2.11 Build 9015

First installed the version you get when you register, and then I downloaded and installed the 001a fix. I did everything by the book, and used all defaults.

The 2 icons:

Dashboard
DashHelper

are generic "program" icons and when DashHelper is clicked, I get an alert box:

Can't find 'Dashhelper' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.

OK, now I'm really agrivated... thought it was something I was doing.

1. I did a hard reset on the Jornada.

2. I uninstalled MS ActiveSync and re-installed.

3. Jornanda is now reset and clean.

4. I realize that I don't want to use the 001a update, so I only install the 009 registered version I have.

5. I do everything by the book.

6. It's STILL not working.

If this is anything like windows itself, what it looks like is happening, is that the shortcuts to launch the app are not set properly.

Grrr... somebody please help!

Okay, looks like I solved my own problem. I didn't realize the free trial does not work on Windows CE 2.11. Looks like I either have to wait, or just take a gamble and buy it.

Hi,

Unfortunately, my E-100 died and I cannot test the CE 2 version any longer so I froze the CE2 release at a specific known working version.

I rarely get any requests for it though it is out on the download site for registered users. Unfortunately I don't have any way to build and test a trial version of it anymore either.

If you do register it and cannot get it working just let me know and I can get you a full refund. If you want to register the CE 2 version do it through RegisterNow because I can process my own refunds on that site without having to contact them and work through their support people.

Sounds good to me. I just purchased it, and I'll be trying it out as soon as the "Order Lookup" site recognizes my code. Thanks for the assistance!

On another note, I'm surprised this is one of the few programs for CE 2.11. These old units offer most of what the new ones do, and if it gets lost or broken, they're cheap to replace :)
