SKTools includes just about every Pocket PC tweak and utility package you could ever want, in one tightly integrated package. There are tools for cleaning, backup, storage card maintenance, databases, today plugins, input methods, uninstall, startup, and some miscellaneous utilities.

While it's a nice looking program, and certainly has some powerful tools, it looks like a bit of a mish-mash to me, the proverbial jack of all trades, master of none.

For example, it doesn't have a registry editor or tweaker, allows you view databases but not edit the records and so on.

Yes, there are plenty of registry editors out there (including freeware versions), but there are also free database viewers and notification queue managers available.

It's also unclear who the audience for this is, power users or casual users. No power user really needs a tool to delete an item in the StartUp folder, but no casual user should even think about modifying system databases.

I love utilities, and certainly wouldn't mind having SK Tools. The $9.00 price is certainly reasonable for what you get, too. However, I think it would have been better to keep this as just a Pocket PC cleanup tool and price it more like $4.95.

As another alternative that's somewhat more focused, check out Citadel's Pocket Tools (http://www.citadeldevelopment.com/products/ptools.aspx). It's $14.95, but if you search, you might be able to find the older, but free, PocketTools 2.5.
