dashboard view problem

For some reason the toolbars that usually appear at the bottom of the screen in dashboard do not appear on the regular today screen. Only when I run the dashboard program does it appear.
What should I do?

Hi,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If Dashboard is not running in the Today page that might be why the toolbars are not there. If you install Dashboard again and get the checkbox to put it on the Today page then you know that it's not currently set up to run there and can check the box and it will put it there during the installation.

If I've totally missed what you mean try to describe it again and I'll take another shot at it.

It definitely is installed as a today plug-in. I'm using the default lighter theme that comes with dashboard. On the bottom right-hand side there are a row of five buttons for calendar,mail,tasks,folders,and something else. When I close the program and go to the default today menu I see everything in the dashboard but those five buttons and the whole bottom line for that matter is covered over by the default line at the bottom of my screen which has a "new" button on the left side and the bluetooth configuration button on the right side. All I see is a date and wuestion mark button but whatever is below it is covered over by this bar.

Hi,

Make sure that there are no other Today plugins enabled in the Today Settings applet. It sounds like the main graphics are shifted down and the only thing I can think of that might do that would be another Today plugin being active.

Thank you very much. It helped. I had the date showing in my today screen and the date in the dashboard setting so it pushed everything down. I went to the today settings and unchecked the box for showing the date.
