SnoopSoft SnoopCap is a screen capture tool for handheld devices running the Windows Mobile 2003, 2003 SE or Pocket PC 2002 OS!

SnoopCap is specifically designed with Windows Mobile 2003 SE devices in mind and can quickly and easily capture any screen from any device at any resolution! The program will automatically determine the size of the display so there's no need to define the layout yourself.

SnoopCap works by capturing the screen after a user-defined period (i.e. 5 seconds) and then displays a snapshot of the captured image along with the file name that it was saved under. If the image does not look right, just recapture it.

SnoopCap was designed to be as simple as possible and gives the user complete control over how long to wait before capturing an image (allowing the user ample setup time), as well as offering the ability to store the captured images anywhere on the device or storage card. There are no complicated Options dialogs to process and the most recent settings are stored for use the next time the program is executed.

SnoopCap works on any Pocket PC 2002 device as well as all Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 2003SE devices. In fact, SnoopCap was designed specifically for Windows Mobile 2003SE devices with their Portrait and Landscape modes as well as the new HiDPI VGA mode available on some high end devices. SnoopCap will even detect a display change and take a proper screenshot if the display is changed while the program is running.

All user interaction is designed with both Portrait and Landscape users in mind and the SnoopCap dialogs will auto-configure themselves to always fit the display and appear appropriately.

Didn't even bother with the demo since I purchased and have been using Dashboard for so long. Just assumed it'd work as advertised. And does. EXTREMELY simple to use, and highly functional. Have taken landmark and standard vertical snaps, they come out QUITE nicely. Even tried the display change, and the snap took just fine. Another oustanding product, Chris!

Ok ONE minor observation: it would be nice if after taking the snapshot you didn't have to exit/restart the program to take a new snapshot. There are times when I'm going to want to take multiple captures of different screens and having to close/reopen is gonna be cumbersome. Unless I missed something you can't take more than one at a time.

(On my screen I have the snapshot main page with the snap it took showing up, but there's no way to get back to the 'options' that I can see).

Hi,

I'm actually one step ahead of you there. I put the snapshot code into a loop literally last night so that I could put a button on the last page to redo it automatically.

I ran out of time to get the code in that would make the button move around when the screen orientation changed so I'll get that into the next update later this week for you.

Thanks for the great feedback!!

By now I should know better than to report stuff. You're usually 2-3 steps ahead on it anyhow;)

Thanks again for another great product :)

Hi,

I updated SnoopCap tonight to v1.02 adding the ability to take multiple screen captures without having to restart the program.

I also added it to the order lookup page and imported all new users. If you've ordered it you can download a copy either from our order lookup page or Pocket Gear.

This functionality is not available for the Demo version so there was no reason to update the demo version on Pocket Gear.

Is there any chance of being able to capture in any format OTHER than bmp?

Also, it would be nice to be able to quit the program WITHOUT taking a screenshot, but that's minor ;)

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions and sorry for not writing back here specifically on them. I did read this a while ago and jot them down and start working on them. Let me know if you have any more suggestions for SnoopCap!
