Kingston (http://www.kingston.com/digitalmedia/cf.asp) has announced 2 GB and 4 GB Compact Flash cards in their Elite Pro line. While they aren't cheap, they are not as expensive as you might think.
Kingston claims the 2 GB card will work in most devices and has a list price of $219. The 4 GB card has a list price of $500 (comparable to the list price of a 4 GB MicroDrive), but Kingston says that some devices may not be able to "fully utilize" the card. I'm guessing that refers to older devices, but I didn't see a list of compatible devices.
The cards have read speeds of up to 10 MB per second and write speeds of up to 8 MB per second.
Do these cards sound interesting or will the price keep you away? Share your thoughts in the discussion.
