Today Screen

Is there a way to have launcher open on my today screen so that the two or three programs I use the most are in immediate reach?

Yes, if you install Dashboard onto the Today page then you can leave the Launcher view up all the time. If you need help getting Dashboard onto your Today page, drop a note and I'll give you more detailed instructions - they're also in the ReadMe that ships with Dashboard, so let me know if something is confusing for you.
