View Full Version : Turning off the backlight on external power

When i charge my device...the backlight stays on which is annoying. i think there is a setting somewhere for it to turn off when connect to external power but i can't find it. how can i do this?

There's no setting that I know of to specifically turn the backlight off when you connect to external power, but you could try the following:
Tap the Start menu.
Tap Settings.
Tap the System tab.
Tap the Backlight icon.
Tap the External Power tab.
Check the Turn off backlight if device is not used for setting.
Select 1 min in the drop-down list.
Tap the OK button.
That should turn the backlight off after one minute of inactivity.
Alternatively, if you're not syncing, just turn the device off after connecting it to the charger.
