anybody know how to add a number in your call list to a contact you already have in your contact list?
Instead of adding it as unknown caller then moving that number to the proper section in your contact list, how can i add it on a contact already saved?
thanks!

I see what you mean. It doesn't look like Pocket PC will allow you to save a missed call as a new number for a particular contact. I know Smartphone will allow you to do this, but Pocket PC just will make a new contact entry.

I don't have a Pocket PC Phone, so this may be a silly question, but can't you just copy and paste the number into Contacts?

That wouldn't be much harder than selecting the record, then having to select the Contact to add the number to, then having to select which phone number field to put it in.

hehe, actually it is.. it adds it as unamed. so u gotta open up contacts and go in unamed.. then, copy it using stylus or keyboard. then go to the contact you want to put it on. and paste using again stylus or keyboard.

as compared to

save to existing contact
oh well.. call me lazy.

another thing that i wish was added was in the default alarm that comes with WM5.0 i wish u can set what the volume of the alarm tone will be. i cant seem to find a freeware alarm that lets u set the alarm.... dont even say, just set the volume before u sleep.

well.. i silence my phone when i sleep and the volume of the device.

I think you missed my point. I didn't want you to add the number to contacts and then copy and paste the number, I wanted to know if you could copy the number directly from the missed call list and then paste it into the appropriate contact.

So the steps would look something like:

Select the number in the missing call list
Copy it
Open Contacts
Select your contact
Edit the contact
Paste the number into the appropriate field

That's why I listed the steps you'd have to take if the system did save to an existing contact. It wouldn't be one step like you make it seem to be; it would more likely go something like:

Select the number in the missing call list
Select Add Number to Contact...
Select the appropriate contact to add the number to
Select the phone number field to put the number in

Yes, it would be a bit shorter that way, but if my suggestion works, it's shorter than what you said you'd have to do.

Nope sorry, you cant copy from the call history.
Only options in history is save to contacts (which defaults to unknown caller) , delete, send txt message, and call.

Where are those options displayed -- a standard menu or toolbar, a tap-and-hold menu or somewhere else?

If they aren't in a tap-and-hold menu, what happens if you tap-and-hold a call? If you can't copy a number at all, that would be pretty stupid of Microsoft.
