View Full Version : Input selector panel slow with Voice Command installed

Here's and unresolved issue that I've been seeing around the web more and more lately:

After installing MS Voice Command, the input selector panel takes ages to appear. This effectively ruins the use of the panels and the only way to get it back to speed again is to remove VC... which of course kills off that input method.

In my case this is on an i-mate JAMin, freshly flashed and the current Voice Command 1.5, but it is not restricted to this device.

What do you mean by the input selector panel?

Probably the SIP selection menu displayed when you click the arrow next to the input panel display/hide button.

I've noticed that on my JasJar as well but I just leave it set on my favorite input method which is the virtual keyboard so the 5 second delay is not an issue to me.

Hi Bobby,

as a Microsoft MVP, do you have access to better channels for reporting this sort of thing, to have it looked at?

I've been around the MS site and all I can find is a phone number which is unsuitable for me from where I am.

It's just a pain to have to wait around until enough people have the problem that someone finally picks it up at MS. This could probably be fixed in no time by the people who wrote the stuff.

Regards,
Rob
