anyone know where I can get a gif or jepeg image viewer for Windows mobile 5.0 device. The default one only displays images without the animations

Have you tried Pocket Internet Explorer? I believe Microsoft added animated GIF support back in Windows Mobile 2003.

XNView (http://www.xnviewpocket.org/) looks like a good WM5 Picture Viewer.one.
