Since Spb Diary's first release, it has been the "PIM on Today Screen" choice for many people. Spb Diary allows users to display and quickly access from the Today Screen: Contacts, Email, Notes, Appointments and Tasks. The latest release of version 2.0 brings new functionality and improved integration with 3rd party PIM's such as Pocket Informant and PhatNotes. With all of these features and seemingly ease of use, should you have it on your Today Screen? Read on to find out!

FYI, Diary also supports 240x240 screen resolution. I tried it on my Treo and it works fine. I am currently using PocketBreeze and have not decided if there is really any big difference between the 2.

The 3 main pros of Diary seem to be:

Integration with SPB Weather
Ability to see PhatNotes
The ability to re-size itself to keep your Today screen from needing a scroll bar. THIS IS A BIG ONE

PocketBreeze is a lot more customizable, though. PocketBreeze also seems to have better one-handed support, although I could be wrong on that.

Anyone directly compare the lastest version of Diary to the latest version of PocketBreeze? Maybe that's an article for you, Brandon.

You are absolutely right! I was a beta tester of Diary, and after a day or so of using a stable version of the app, I had to move back to Pocket/Contact Breeze.

PB is so much more customizable it's not even funny. Even down to what you see in various context-sensitive menus, view, order, etc.
