One-handed operation with the Windows Mobile platform has been a topic of discussion since the success of the Palm OS based Treo series. Last year Palm hardware crossed over to Windows Windows and introduced the Treo 700w loaded with a set of custom application to enhance the one-handed experience. With the advent of soft keys in Windows Mobile 5.0, new emphasis has been given to operating applications with one hand. Thumb Magic from The Mavens is a program for Pocket PC that aims to develop a unique and revolutionary software which changes the overall user experience by allowing the effective use of one's thumb. Read on to see if this could change the way you interact with your device!

No capitals on character keypad
So how do you capitalize? I saw "Smith" in one of the input fields, so it seems like it can be done. Did I miss that?
Steve
P.S. As an ex-IBMer, it's nice to see a fellow IBM mainframe user, but I wouldn't use "abending" outside of that world. ;) How many people here know "abend" is short for "abnormal end"?

Good eye, Thumb Magic always capitalizes the first letter.
What term would you use for an abnormal program end on WIndows Mobile? One of the great things about the internet is that you can search for the definition of a term, Wikipedia has a great definition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abend) of abend.

But you can't capitalize any other way? There's no tap-and-hold to capitalize or anything?
What term would you use for an abnormal program end on WIndows Mobile?
The same one I'd use for any computer -- "crash". ;)

As cool as it seems, what I see on my screen is definitely not what I see in these screen shots.
First, I don't wear glasses, don't need them and have great vision :)
The graphics are all squeezed together, I can't see the two tabs at the bottom (a sliver of each) and when I press on some of the applications like the time, it just creates screen garbage that is all distorted.
I have tried all different settings and nothing seems to help...is it just that I have been boned by buying the treo 750 as it has such crap resolution (240X240?)
HELP?
thanks
Eric

That could be the problem. If the developer doesn't support square screens, things could well look bad.
I'd contact the developer and ask them about it.
