I'm on a quest to find the best case for my Qtek 8500 (HTC Star Trek, Cingular 3135, etc). Although it's tempting to carry the sleek and slim device without protection, a good mobile device user knows that after several weeks of a use, what once was a newborn device becomes a target for scratches and debris. In September, we reviewed Noreve's rendition of an HTC Star Trek case. A noble reader tipped me off to the fact that Krusell has recently developed a competing case. Let's take a look at this new case and see if it's worth your money. Read on for the results!

Hi Brandon,
Shame they dropped the ball somewhat on this one. I used a Krusell with my Treo and loved it. Very little added bulk, and despite the cheaper leather, it acutally lasted quite well, developing a nice "worn in" look.
I disliked the stock clip also so bought the swivel clip (http://www.krusell.se/category.php?category=20) for a couple of bucks on ebay. One good thing about these clips is that they are strong.
Cheers,

I have yet to find a clip that I liked that lasts. Either the metal spring wears out and the jaws hang open (making it easier for the case to fall off my belt) or the plastic casing just breaks. If a clip lasts for a year, I'm surprised.
I haven't used that particular clip, but have used ones from The Clip and Verizon.
