The 1.3 mp camera on the BlackJack was a bit interesting: the view finder had a poor framerate (it was choppy), but once you kept the device still enough to shoot a photo, the image came into focus very well, creating a decent picture on screen. Instead of me trying to describe for you how the photos came out once transferred to a computer, check out some samples here (http://www.8525corner.com/images/brandon/bullz.jpg) and here (http://www.8525corner.com/images/brandon/flowers.jpg).
The camera app gives you just as much leeway in how you want the image to come out as other WM devices - and it's set up under a soft key menu vs a graphical one, so it's response time is quick. As with most devices, you can also take video, up to QVGA. I found the video quality to be poor - with lots of noise and incorrect color. Click here (http://www.8525corner.com/images/brandon/movie.3gp) for a demo (410KB, .3GP format).
There’s also a novelty program that lets you apply a border to any image you take, as seen below. The thinking behind this was probably for use with MMS (multimedia messaging service). I’m not sure whether MMS ever took hold, but if you’re into that, you can spruce up your images by putting a frame around it.
