Developer One has recently released a new PIM application. A slant on its wildly popular signature application Agenda Fusion, their latest application, Agenda One, supports both the Smartphone and Pocket PC Operating Systems. Being a relatively new product, it's time to put it to the test. Read on to see the results!

I've been using Agenda One for about a month on my Motorola Q, and it's great. I pretty much agree with your assessment (the splash screen is annoying and the colors can make some things difficult to read, like the detailed views of Calendar and Tasks items with the image backgrounds).
However, I think one Con needs a bit of explaining:
Not as advanced as other popular PIM replacements
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any justification for this comment in the review. While I agree that it may be true in the Pocket PC space compared to things like Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion, where does it fall short on the Smartphone platform?
That leads me to a question I had about the review. What device were you running Agenda One on? Given the landscape orientation of your screen captures, I'm guessing you were using a Smartphone, but it could have been a Pocket PC Phone, too.
And that leads to another question. Are the features and interface identical between the Pocket PC and Smartphone versions. I realize that you probably didn't try it on both platforms, but it would be nice to know what, if any, differences there are.
Finally, I think you omitted a pretty big Pro -- Over-The-Air updating. You can update Agenda One on the device itself without having to install from a PC. I've used this on my Q at least twice already (including the latest update to 1.00.3632 that I just completed).

Steve,
Thanks for your feedback. To answer your questions:

This was added after the review was submitted.

Smartphone OS, although the app runs on both and is not intended to replace Agenda Fusion.

Per my review, "There are a staggering amount of features bundled with this application. The Developer One site covers these features in detail, so I thought I'd stick to my impressions."

Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about giving this app a try on my PPC Phone edition device, but haven't gotten around to it. But your review seems to give me the incentive I need. I typically use PocketInformant, but really don't use all of it's features such as journaling or notes. I'm hoping this will be a little easier to use without losing key functionality.

Thanks for the note whydidnt. Yes, although I didn't directly compare them, it was easier to use than PI (PPC edition). I would recommend downloading the trial and taking it for a burn. I am pretty happy with it!
