In honor of my birthday (oh, and the new PhatWare's PhatPad (http://www.phatware.com) 4.0 release), we are giving away 3 copies to you, our faithful readers.

New features in PhatPad 4.0 include improved inking and integration with handwriting recognition software on Tablet PCs and UMPCs, sinkable user interface with 9 pre-defined skins (including four skins similar to Microsoft Office 2007’s interface), document templates, and password-protection with 256-bit long security key and new proprietary encryption algorithms. You can read the full list here (http://www.phatware.com/phatpad/index.html).

So how can you snag one of these lovely freebies? The rules are simple, reply to this post with a note on which new feature you like best, and how you would use that new capability with your PDA of choice. The contest ends midnight (PST) this Friday, the 22nd.

Good luck!

One Word: Organization
This application blows away the standard not organization of the ppc, something I use often but don't like at all. Being able to keep tabs on my 10-15 notes a day, would be fantastic!

The new feature I like best :

Includes multiple customizable toolbars

This helps me to access the various features of Phatpad 4.0 quickly by a simple touch of the icons and makes using the software much more efficient and enjoyable.

I own caligrapher and I like the support for handwriting recognition and the background image support. It will rock on my Axim x51v.

The new feature that really sounds intriguing is vertical and horizontal auto scrolling. No having to pick up my stylus and scroll just because I'm a little verbose...

The part I like is mixing digital text, handwriting and drawing on the same page. Now I can have doodles with the real information in the note ;)

The new feature I like the most is: "Allows to load background images"

Why? I make a lot of photos with my digital camera and love to have them on my iPAQ 4150, for editting, changing, etc.
With Phatpad this now seems possible in a very simple way.

I love the new skinability! The "eyecandy" factor will help me to remember to USE it more.

The mix of digital text, handwriting and drawing on the same page would be the best feature for me. It would make my hx4700, with its large screen, an even more practical pad replacement in meetings.

Handwriting recognition and drawings on the same page are the perfect mix of features.

I love the way it organises all the notes. You cannot just beat the phatnotes in terms of organisation

As an engineer I would like to a lot of features of the phatpad program !!

On a building site solving some (constructional) problems its very easy to have (a part) of a building plan on your mobile device (stored in the note format). On the site one discusses the difficulties and takes a picture of the actual situation. Adding this pictures to the notes, lest you compare drawings and actual situation. Easly some sketches or concept solutions can be added to the problem, and some measurements or formula's are written or typed to the note. This keeps the information about this topic on a central place. The note can be attached to a email, which after encryption is sent to some collegues for feedback and discussion. Also the printing option let's everybody involved talk easily about the problem.

Summarized:
The phatpad progam let's someone handle and store problems on a central place in a systematic way. The sync option let's one easly rework the concepts on your notebook or desktop, and it's safe to have a backup on your laptop or mobile device. My device is a HP iPAQ hw6915.

I think the higher security makes this a utility I would use to keep my passwords with me.

The best new feature for me is the ability to combine handwriting, drawings, and digital notes. This will help me in meetings with my scribbled notes mixed in with pre-prepared notes.
