What do you think about the Toshiba Genio e series (http://genio-e.com)? Is this a true iPAQ killer (/detailed.shtml?db=news&ID=178)? Will it rule the market?

Combination of SD slot AND CompactFlash Type I/II? Awesome. No PC Card expansion? Oh well--I'll be using my CF-size 802.11 card with 500 MB of SD memory, and I'll be set!

I love the way it looks, and the specs seem fantastic, but I still want a jog dial on the side (like my Jornada), so I can read ebooks with one hand.

But think of the gaming advantage that the jog dial gives by being in the middle. :D

That's why I'd add a second jog dial on the side, just like the Jornada. That way both gamers and readers can do what they do in comfort.

If there is a button on the side of the unit like the iPAQ, you can use SoftwareActionControl to turn the button into an action button like your Jornada.

When I moved to the iPAQ from the Casio I went through withdrawals not being able to read books in one hand. Now with this package I can just fine.

It says under OS "Pocket PC." Do you think they mean Windows for Pocket PC (PPC being hardware) or do you think they are talking about the Windows BEING PPC (PPC being software)?
