The HTC TyTN II, also known as the Tilt or AT&T 8925, may also launch with another USA GSM variation on T-Mobile. Boy Genius Report (http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/09/18/htc-kaiser-coming-to-t-mobile-usa) is reporting that there may be a version with the 1700 HSDPA band. According to the FCC filings, this variant will have the 2100, 850, 1900, 800, and 1700 MHz bands. Considering that the 1700 band is only used by T-Mobile USA, the question is whether the launch of the Kaiser on T-Mobile will coincide with T-Mobile's new 3G network or whether the device will launch before the 3G roll-out.

I knew it! Keeping my fingers crossed. Out of the HTC devices I like most it is the Kaiser and Shift. I know T-Mobile has been cleaning out the closet of older devices like the Wizard variant. As of right now there is just the Dash and Wing.

If they do unveil the Kaiser, I wonder...and I am just thinking out loud here...if they will also include the Hotspot@home functionality with it too. That and new 3G, the Kaiser! It's almost too much to handle.

A T-Mobile USA version of the Kaiser would be a dream come true. :)

This will be definitely be a nice replacement for the T-Mobile Wing. Besides the Blackberry 8800 and the soon to be launched Curve with GPS, this will expand T-Mobile's GPS offerings.

It's amazing how there are a few devices that are pushed to multiple carriers...like the Q, RAZR, and now the Kaiser. I wonder if this is mostly because of big efforts from the hardware companies, or if the telecoms request them.
