Sprint will enable location based searches next Tuesday according to Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/infoworld/20070918/tc_infoworld/91885). Location based searching will use cellular signal and tower data to let the network know where the user is. This will enable smarter searches. For instance, when you are searching for a movie or a restaurant nearby, you don't have to enter your location. Instead, triangulated cellular tower information will be sent along with your search query and will return with results based on location. Sprint will use Microsoft Live Search as the search engine behind its location based technologies.
