Bell Mobility is bringing unlimited data to Canadians for $75 per month. However, the catch here is that the unlimited data plan is only available through PC card users, and not for PDA/Smartphone users nor for feature phone users. According to Boy Genius Report (http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2007/09/20/bell-mobility-brings-unlimited-data-to-canada/), this is still a much welcomed move as the $75 unlimited data plan replaces the $100 data plan that gives users only 1 GB of data.

As non-progressive as the United States has been in terms of the wireless/mobile industry in terms of the latest and coolest phones and gadgets, it is nice to know that we do have the option for unlimited data, with Sprint and T-Mobile having some of the cheapest rates of the carriers here.

Canadians: What are your thoughts? Do you currently use wireless internet on your laptop? Would you make the jump to Bell to get unlimited data?

Wow, I can't believe I currently live in a third world country, get Edge connectivity and pay only $10.00 a month for an unlimited data plan on my Phone and another $15.00 on my laptop. $75.00 is just crazy to consider. I don't even pay those amounts when I'm on roaming in the US.

Are you all use to this?

I pay $40 for unlimited data on my smartphone, which technically does not include tethering to a laptop. The laptop plan is a bit more, depending on which carrier you are with here in the United States. The Canadian rate seems pretty competitive. If other Canadian carriers implemented other unlimited data packages, then maybe the prices will drop somewhat to make it even more affordable to the masses.
